Inherited by Lady Clementine Beit who in 2005 donated it to The Alfred Beit Foundation

Condition
Overall the condition of the bronze is very good. There is some minor wear consistent with age. There is a casting flaw under the arm to her proper left side where there is also some whitening, perhaps due to dryness, to the patina. There is a flattened area to the top of her head. The veined red and mottled green marble base has some minor chips.
