With a central label and gothic inscription 'ello rosatom' (Ellctuario rosatom; powdered roses mixed into a sweetened electuary) against a spiralling ground of blue ground oak leaf scrolls with orange and green ground leaf decoration incorporating dolphin scrolls in blue,  (foot chip),

Catalogue Note

The alternation of blue-ground oak leaf scrolls with orange-ground leaf decoration incorporating dolphin scrolls is a common combination on mid-sixteenth-century Faenza maiolica.
