Condition
Original canvas that is slightly loose on its stretcher. There is an area of surface craquelure in the upper left corner and some further areas by the left edge and along the bottom left edge. There are a few specks of paint loss to the left of the castle by the left edge and a futher spot of paint loss to a branch in the bottom left corner and alosng the bottom left edge. Otherwise in original condition.
Under ultraviolet light, there appear to be no signs of retouching.
Held in a plaster gilt frame with canvas inset.
