Description
- 12cm high, 20cm. wide; 11cm Deep; 4¾in; 8in, 4¼in
of typical form, the body finely painted with multi-coloured floral scrolls, 84 standard
Provenance
Christie's, 19 May 1986, Lot 130
Condition
There are two obvious areas of restoration to the enamel to the flower at the front right of the kovsh, the lower left petals have been re-enamelled; on the left side of the kovsh the upper petals of the large flower have also been re-enamelled. This does not detract from the appearance of the piece, but is clearly visible under UV light. Very minor spots of enamel loss in places. The kovsh will benefit from a professional clean.
