Description

  • Sèvres R.F. mark in blue, painter's mark: ermine, gilder's mark I.N. for Jean Chauvaux le jeune in purple
  • 8cm., 3 1 / 8 in.
painted by Cyprien Julien Hyrel de Choisy, with blue, white and red flower swags enclosing a oak-leaf swag against a yellow ground band,  the beau blue border with gilt flowers, a tricolor ribbon embellishing the laurel wreath; one handle restored

Condition

Top half of one handle restored and re-gilt, shallow foot rim chip (ca. 1cm), extending to the edge, very minor flaking to the gilding.
