  • A 'BLANC-DE-CHINE' FIGURE OF GUANYIN, 18TH / 19TH CENTURY
  • 37cm high
standing barefoot on a cloud scroll base, wearing long flowing robes opened at the chest to reveal a beaded ruyi pendant, her hands emerging from the voluminous sleeves, the right holding the scroll of wisdom, her face serene and her hair piled high in a chignon held with a ruyi pin and draped with a cloth at the back

Condition

small piece repaired on rim of shawl over right shoulder approximately 3mm; tiny chip to tip of robe beneath right hand and small chip approximately 2mm to edge of shawl on reverse, four finger tips missing from left hand, one finger tip missing from right hand; otherwise good condition
