Description

  • A 'BLANC-DE-CHINE' DEHUA FIGURE OF DAMO (BODHIDHARMA), 18TH CENTURY
  • 25cm high
standing barefoot supported on a reed floating above the base of swirling waves, his hands clasped beneath the voluminous folds of his long layered robes, leaving his chest bare, his head slightly turned to one side with well defined features and penetrating gaze, the heavy  brows and beard with tight curls

Condition

Good condition, very slight firing blemish on reverse where glaze shrinkage has occured, small firing crack on neck under collar of robe on one side, and firing crack on interior of base
