Description

  • diameters 2 15/16 and 4 1/2 in.
  • 7.4 and 11.5 cm
each painted with a lady seated on a porch, listening to a boy reading a book and being attended by another lady bringing a gilt teapot on a tray, the reverse of the teabowl with a butterfly hovering above a floral spray, each within a scalloped panel reserved on a gilt 'cloud'-patterned ground further reserved with cranes in flight, and the interior rim with a gilt floral border. Each with minuscule chips and the saucer with a small hair crack.

Condition

2mm chip to on outer edge of back of teabowl, saucer with a 2mm chip under the edge at 11 o'clock and a 3/8 inch haircrack on edge at 6 o'clock.
