- 100.5 cm; 132 cm; 63.5 cm
the rectangular top above a frieze drawer and three long drawers flanked by bombé sides, decorated with giltwood swans and foliate motifs on bracket supports mounted with winged giltwood horses, on a scrolling plinth base.
Condition
With two keys. Top surface slightly warped, consistent with age. With some horizontal hairline age cracks, dents and scratches to the top. Minor surface craquelure to the top. Hairline age cracks to the fruitwood apron, with a chip of fruitwood veneer missing. Scratches to the surfaces of the drawers. Restorations to the four corners of each drawer with a restoration running the whole left side of the central drawer. Minor lifting to some of the restored corners of the drawers. Very minor chips and losses to the giltwood figures, with the left horse slightly detached from the body of the commode. Very minor hairline age cracks to the sides. In otherwise very good condition.
