Description

  • length of straight sections 10 1/8 in.
  • 25.7 cm
each section molded in low relief with an arcaded pattern and set at each corner with ram's masks, comprising: four straight flower holders and four curved flower holders, crowned N marks in underglaze-blue. Some restoration. 8 pieces.

Condition

Four rectangular: One with a 2-mm. chip on one ram's left horn, and a 2-mm. chip under the hoof foot at the catty-corner to the chipped horn. One with a 2-mm. chip on the tip of a ram's left horn and a shallow 1/8-inch (4-mm.) chip on the hoof foot below; and on the same side at the other end a 3-mm. chip on the ram's left horn tip. One with a 2-mm. chip to the right side of one ram's beard. One OK. Occasional mineral staining on the interiors Four crescent-shaped: One with three ram's heads restored and one of those with a 1-mm. chip on the tip of a ram's right horn; two hoof feet are restored, and there are probably restored chips on the rim, and a break at one end, but the spray conceals them. One with both tips of one ram's horns restored, and one ram's horn tip restored at the other end. One with a 2-mm. chip on the tip of the left horn of one ram; otherwise OK. One with a 3-mm. chip to the left horn of each ram at one end; otherwise OK.
