Condition

Cupid looking to his left: Both wings nicely reattached; the quill in his right hand restored; and the points of his sash with tiny chips. The column with a very shallow ¼-inch (5-mm.) chip on the back edge of its top and a 1-mm. chip on the front edge of its top and also on the vertical edge of the column itself below the front outer corner. There is some restoration to the edges (corners) of the column. The porcelain base with a 2-mm. chip on the corner below the column and on the vertical edge below that corner; and the upper edge with a 2-mm. chip behind Cupid's feet. There is also some restoration to the base but it is well done and impossible to determine the exact extent. Something may have been ground off the front of the biscuit plinth beside the column, between the column and his feet. Cupid looking to his right: Restoration to the ends of the paintbrushes. The front edge of the top of the column with three very shallow 1-mm. chips, possibly original. The corner of the white biscuit plinth with a restored ½-inch (1.3-cm.) chip by his left foot; and something appears to have been removed from the base beside the column and in front of his right foot. One corner of the base is cracked. The white porcelain base with a 2-m. chip along the top edge by his left foot, and a filled-in shallow 3/8-inch (1-cm.) chip along the top edge behind the column and possibly further restoration to the base.
