akuipoi, of hemispherical form with one end in the form of a skull-like head and the lid as a flat body for the figure with a medial ridge and two truncated legs, decorated with incised geometric motifs; typed label 'Marquesas islands bowl' under lid rim; varied reddish brown patina.
