Description

  • A pair of 'Elmcote' curtain panels
  • 213cm. high by 131cm. wide (top) by 288cm. wide (base);
  • 8ft, 4ft 3¾in., 10ft 5½in.
hand-loomed jacquard wool and mohair, green, rust and blue on a black ground

Condition

Extensive wear overall, including matting, holes, and some minor fading. Lining with some stains. One with 4-inch strip on the right hand side where curtain is threadbare and faded. Colour and contrast are nevertheless good for their age, with considerable brightness overall.
