- 5ft 3½in., 4ft 3½in., 9½in.
ebonised mahogany and stencilled decoration, the open arrangement of shelves above a pair of cupboard doors mounted on silvered hinges, central overhanging shelf, shaped siderails
Condition
A striking and important piece of good overall condition. Old marks and scratches as can be seen in the catalogue illustration. Backboard with a reglued knot of timber (approximately 2.5 x 1.5 cm) near bottom shelf. The bottom rail beneath cupboard doors with small area of modern restoration. Metal hardware with some tarnishing and discoloration. Finish has been partially retouched in places to painted roundels as can be seen in the catalogue. Extended shelf with some small stains and evidence of candle wax. Timber around door handles with typical marks through use. Ready for display. A rare and stylish piece by this major designer.
