Description
- A tall cabinet
- one drawer with Gillows stamp `L9639'
- 250cm. high by 169cm. wide by 47.5cm. deep;
- 8ft 2½in., 5ft 6in., 1ft 7¾in.
walnut, burr elm and velvet, with stylised foliate carved and parcel gilt decoration, the arched bevelled mirror plate with an overhanging cornice flanked by open shelves and glazed cupboard doors, the lower section with an arrangement of open shelves and foliate carved lower cupboard doors
Condition
A large and impressive piece in overall good appearance. Old marks and scratches in places, consistent with age and use. Some very minor wear to the gilding decoration in places. Please note that the foliate backings to the open shelves are period velvet. This imposing cabinet is ready for display.
