- 6ft, 3ft 8¾in., 1ft 3¾in.
oak, the moulded cornice above an arrangement of open shelves on square cabriole feet, the sides with panelled and fielded panels, one side with plinth base

Condition
A rare yet practical piece of good overall appearance. The piece is of less golden patina than the catalogue suggests. Of good structural condition. Some old marks and scratches consistent with age.One or two minor ink stains to some of the shelves. There are two drill holes to the upper part of one side. A striking piece by this prominant English Arts and Crafts designer.

Catalogue Note
Lutyens built Marshcourt for Herbert Johnson between 1901 and 1904. This bookcase remained in the billiard room at Marshcourt until recently.
