Condition

Structure: This painting is in good condition. The canvas is unlined and the paint surface is stable. There is some scattered craquelure, particularly above the fruit. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals a thick varnish and an area of retouching at the base of the glass. Another tiny spot in the sky upper centre which is a repaired tiny puncture and some very fine infilling to the craquelure on the fruit. Frame: Held in a modern decorative plaster frame in good condition.
