the cavetto depicting a Subaltern saluting a superior officer from a Guard regiment, the border in tooled and burnished gilding with alternating Imperial Eagles and military trophies, inscribed on the reverse: Officier Supperieur et Subalterne du Reg.t / de la Garde à cheval, 1829, with blue Imperial cypher for Nicholas I

Condition

Very minor surface scratches to the gilding.
