held in an impressive silver-gilt and enamel oklad, the Virgin and the Christ painted in oil, in silvered and gilded robes with vari-coloured shaded cloisonné enamel halos, the border cast and chased with scrolling foliage, applied with plaque with inscription finely enamelled in blue, 84 standard

This is a very decorative and attractive icon with oklad in overall very good condition consistent with age.
