Description
- height: 36cm., 14 1/14 in.
of elliptical form, the silver basket cast and chased to each side with four laurel leaf and ribbon-tied hypocamps on a flared and fluted base bordered with acanthus leaves, the rim with a band of Greek key ornament, the reeded handle tied with ribbons and issuing from laurel and berry wreaths, marked K. Fabergé beneath the Imperial Warrant, with scratched inventory number 213938, 84 standard, with cut-glass liner
Condition
The glass is in generally good condition with a small number of external scratches. The polish residue shows that the silver has been cleaned. There are some left-out spaces of black oxide coating around one horse, the floral decoration on the side, and the base. The interior has possibly been re-gilded.
