Description
- height: 23.5cm, 9¼in.
of ovoid tapering form decorated with applied parcel-gilt garlands and gilt tooling, the interior lid inset with a mirror and further floral ornament, with domed cover, swing handles, and a stepped square base supported on four ball feet
Condition
The original key is lacking. There is wear to the hinge consistent with age and a few minor areas of loss to the gilt borders, however this does not detract from the overall appearance of the piece. This is a rare and unusual piece in good condition consistent with age.
