Condition
Original canvas. There is a layer of discoloured varnish and surface dirt. There is some old restoration along the left edge visible to the naked eye. UV light reveals a layer of opaque varnish and suggestions of old retouching along the aforementioned restoration. The work would benefit from attention by a professional restorer and should respond well to a professional clean. Held in a gold painted plaster frame and unexamined out of frame.
