Acquired by the father of the current owner in Moscow

Condition

Original canvas with one small patch visible on the reverse. There is a 1.5cm. long fine tear with consecutive paint-loss to the top centre. The paint surface is dirty and there is a layer of discoloured varnish. There are paint abrasions along the edges and fine lines of craquelure in patches. UV light reveals areas of retouching along the edges and minor spots eleswhere. Held in a gold painted frame and unexamined out of frame.
