  • 2ft 5½in., 5ft 11in., 2ft 7½in.
fruitwood and gilt bronze, the gilt-stamped leather top above five frieze drawers, each with lock and key, four tapering legs terminating in sabots

Condition

An attractive desk in good overall condition. Some old marks and scratches overall commensurate with age and use. Leather scratched in places and with some small repaired tears, but retaining a pleasing appearance. Gilt stamping with some wear. One or two areas of minor restoration, such as to the back left corner. Edges with some knocking and chipping, especially to the right side of the kneehole, though this is confined to a narrow area. Small area of finish loss to back edge of the right corner. Metal with some blemishing and wear to the patina. Some sabots very slightly twisted. Elegant and ready for use and display.
