Description

  • A massive vase
  • 129cm. high by approximately 55cm. diameter;
  • 4ft 2¾in., 1ft 9¾in.
terracotta, the amphora-shaped body glazed in mottled shades of blue and dull gold

Condition

A striking piece. Some old marks and scratches overall. Some very minor chipping to rim and more significant chips to foot, partially painted. There is a crack running up one side for approx 55cm and this corresponds with an apparent firing fault on the opposing side. This crack has been partially retouched.
