Description

  • A pair of table lamps
  • 31cm. high by 24cm. wide;
  • 1ft ¼in., 9½in.
reverse-painted red glass and gilt metal, formed as vases of flowers, each with two sconces

Condition

A stylish pair. THe colour is of richer red tone than the catalogue illustration suggests. Some old marks and scratches. Metal with tarnishing and blemishing. Gilt gesso sides are little worn. Some minor chips to the glass, and the back panel of one base cracked through. Some losses to the reverse painting and to the glass beading. Probably later converted from candelabra. Neither tested nor guaranteed for electricity. Chic and ready for display.
