Condition

There are markings to the centre of the work crossing over between the figures and a vertical line down the centre. These would have been drawn to aid the composition. There is surface dirt to the work itself. There are surface scratches to the work including chips to the surface in the top left corner and to the face of the left hand figure. The paint has run in the red and yellow sections of the right hand figure. Down the left hand edge of the arch there is an area of re-painting approx 1ft high. Structurally the work is sound but there are chips to the upper right of the pediment and to the left hand pilaster.
