Condition
Overall in good condition and presentation. The marble surface with traces of dirt consistent with handling that can easily be cleaned. Minor scratches and nicks to surface consistent with age. Minor chips around base. Pedestal in good condition with some chips and scratches throughout.

Gamba studied at the Accademia di Brera in Milan under Vincenzo. He is recorded as having exhibited in Naples in 1877, Milan in 1881, and Turin in 1884.
