Condition
Overall in good original condition with the usual wear to patina in places, especially to the top of head, arms and legs consistent with handling and touching. Light scratches and dents consistent with age. Traces of old sticker to base and seam vivible to her left arm.

Jean Jules Cambos entered the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in 1853 and had his Salon debut four years later. He had a brilliant career and was given many prestigious official commissions, including works for Versailles and the Académie Nationale de Musique.
