Catalogue Note

Greatly expanded second edition with the commentary of Aulus Janus Parrhasius (1470–1534), Neapolitan humanist and bibliophile. His first edition, printed by the brothers Le Signerre in Milan in 1501, is a very rare work, and the second edition seems to be quite rare outside Italy; only three copies recorded in NUC.
