Catalogue Note

The second or third book printed in Híjar. An extremely rare quarto edition of the Latter Prophets, printed with Alantansi's types, is also dated to the year 5247. In the Sefer Yoreh De'ah (the second of the four tracts of Jacob ben Asher's Arba'ah Turim), there is a concluding poem of eighty short verses, arranged in four columns and two rows, which includes the place of printing and the year, and gives Alantansi's name as an acrostic.
