Catalogue Note

First edition of this portion of the Hebrew Bible. It was presumably a companion to the edition of Former Prophets signed from Soncino, 15 October 1485 (see lot 24), in the same format and using the same types, but that edition has printed initials, whereas this edition is without decorative material; nor, from the evidence of BMC XIII, do their paper stocks overlap.
