of ebonised wood, the edges trimmed in gilt-bronze, the hinged cover inlaid in mother-of-pearl, carved with the Madonna della Sedia after Raphael, the clasp set with a facetted oval medallion of yellow glass engraved with the initial E; together with a gentleman's rectangular toilet case of black leather applied with the initials MT beneath a crown; also combined with various desk ornaments and utensils of brass; and a desk set, 19th century, including a seal with the allied royal arms of Bavaria
