A fine document box second half 19th century

of ebonised wood, the edges trimmed in gilt-bronze, the hinged cover inlaid in mother-of-pearl, carved with the Madonna della Sedia after Raphael, the clasp set with a facetted oval medallion of yellow glass engraved with the initial E; together with a gentleman's rectangular toilet case of black leather applied with the initials MT beneath a crown; also combined with various desk ornaments and utensils of brass; and a desk set, 19th century, including a seal with the allied royal arms of Bavaria

The allied royal arms of Bavaria engraved on the bezel of the seal are those of  Ludovica Duchess in Bavaria, Princess of Bavaria (1808-1892).
