Description
the first parasol of amber-coloured horn, piqué in gold, the fabric of cream-coloured silk, the edges trimmed in lace; the second parasol with porcelain grip in the form of a turkey, mounted on a bamboo shaft, the fabric of black and grey striped silk, the ferrule inscribed Verdier; the third parasol with grip imitating tortoiseshell, applied with a ring of gold inlaid with a turquoise, the ferrule inscribed Kendall Paris; a walking stick of horn, fitted with a grip of agate mounted in silver gilt; another walking stick of Malacca, circa 1790, the grip of black glass with fine mounts of gold and inlaid with a glass cameo of a lady's head; and the grip of a parasol, of silver, cast in the form of a bird's head, the shaft of tortoiseshell, with Viennese blue velvet case
Condition
The three parasols in overall good condition. The walking stick of horn: the silver mountes slightly loose. The grip of a parasol shaped a birds head: slightly worn.
