Description

  • the first 32 cm.
of pear-shape, applied with medallions portraying William as King of England, the belly applied with soldiers on horseback, heightened in blue and manganese, the cover and foot rim of pewter; together with a smaller Rhenish stoneware jug, also heightened in blue and manganese; also combined with two German faience tankards, each with foot rim and cover of pewter; further combined with a Spanish, ring-shaped field flask and a Moustiers faience candlestick

From left to right as seen in the catalogue image: candlestick: overall good condition, minor rim frits ring flask: overall good condition, some glaze flakes and minor chips Faience tankard: minor scratching and glaze wear, rim frits, one hairline crack running down from upper rim (circa 10cm.) and related small side crack Pear-shape tankard: overall good condition, losses to the mouldings (especially to two medallions), minor frits Blue-white tankard: minor scratching and glaze wear Stoneware jug: overall good, minor frits, hairline crack running upside from lower rim (circa 10cm.)
