Description

together with two smaller pipe bowls, retaining pipes, all carved with armorial devices or initials; also with a heraldic device carved of lindenwood and coloured; a seal of steel engraved with a royal, allied armorial device, the handle of ebony and the knob of ivory, in fitted box, turned of mahogany; further combined with two ladies' sewing cases, turned of ivory in the form of a drum

Condition

Soiled commensurate with age and use, the armorial device wanting sections of slashed coat and spange on helmet, the smaller drum-shaped ivory case fractured, both lacking parts of fitted interior
