veneered and inlaid on all sides and hinged cover with huntsmen and hounds in pursuit of big game, the wood inlay partly coloured, the borders and mounts of brass, finely pierced, the drop front fitted with central lock with spring-loaded keyhole cover, the interior also veneered in fruitwood, the lid fitted with hinged compartment, the sides accommodating screws to secure the casket, two small drawers concealed behind drop-front
Condition
The inevitable dents, marks and scratches due to age and use. Signs of use, particularly the cover where varnish is severely scratched, scratches also around the sides, would benefit from restoration.
