Catalogue Note

Cami Stone and her husband, Sasha Stone (Aleksandr Serge Steinsapir), ran a commercial studio in Berlin when their work was selected for the groundbreaking Film und Foto exhibition in Stuttgart in 1929.  This nude study was made in 1933, two years after they moved to Brussels, and it was part of the 25 Nus Femmes de Sasha Stone portfolio, which included photographs by both husband and wife.
