Condition

This early print, on single-weight, semi-glossy paper, is in generally very good condition. As is typical of early prints by Evans, the print's tones are slightly warm. At the top left corner, there are two small chips that have been inpainted. In raking light, small deposits of the photographer's original retouching, and a few minor hairline indentations, are visible. The photograph is mounted on a buff board that has a few handling marks and faint soiling on the front and back. The area surrounding the print has lightened slightly. On the reverse, the top edge of the mount has three areas where the top ply has been abraded.
