Condition
This print, with a wide range of warm-brown tones, is in generally excellent condition. It is likely that the photographer printed this image through a screen, to create a defused pictorial effect. Upon close inspection, in raking light, the following are visible: a few very faint linear impressions at the bottom left quadrant and the top of the image; a small handling crease at the center left edge; a few very small deposits of translucent surface soiling; and a 1/16-inch raised deposit of indeterminate nature in the tree shadow at the lower right quadrant. The margin edges have multiple small chips that do not affect the image.
The photograph is tipped to a thin brown paper mount that is in excellent condition.
