Description
- Charles Jones
- 'Narcissus Madame de Graaff' and 'Freesias'. Two studies, c. 1900
Toned silver prints, each titled and intialled by the artist in pencil upon the reverse .
Literature
Sexton, S. 1998.
Condition
Two fine prints on the glossy surface favoured by Jones. Both images show some retouching, more on the surface of the Narcissus and less upon the other. The Freesias has a couple of light indentations which have shown through from the reverse without breaking the emulsion, and each has slightly chafed corners. Each shows also the mark near one edge of an over-tight mount at some time in the past. But the overall condition of the pair is very good.
