Provenance

Robert Miller Gallery, New York.

Literature

Mapplethorpe R. 1992 p.290 & p. 339.

Condition

The print is flush-mounted on thin board approx. 61 x 51cm in size. There is one, small retouched area at the centre of the left image edge. A pin point mark where the surface appears to have been microscopically broken is visible in the black area level with the sculpture's lower lip. A line running down from the chin in the black area, and another running down the neck are both in the negative. This is a print in excellent condition.
