Very good overall condition.
Small hole on the left cheek of the character in the centre visible on the picture. No repaints showing under the UV light.

Catalogue Note
Formé à l'Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts de Liège, Deckers s'affirme très tôt comme un excellent portraitiste. A partir de 1920, date à laquelle il découvre l'Algérie, il partage sa vie entre ce pays et sa Belgique natale. Peintre des moeurs algériennes, il s'est attaché à représenter les peuples et ethnies d'Algérie dans des portraits lumineux, d'un réalisme qui rappelle la peinture hollandaise.
