Gillis Coignet the Elder

"The following condition report has been provided by Henry Gentle, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's. The oak panel is comprised of four panels. The three joins are stable but there is a split on the right hand side. There is a small area of raised and unstable paint to the left hand side otherwise the surface is secure. Despite some discoloured restorations to the flesh tones and one or two in the background , the condition overall is good with a tonal improvement possible with the removal of the discoloured varnish. Offered in a modern dark painted frame, poor condition."
