Relined and paint surface pressed as a result. Under a dull varnish. There have been retouches applied throughout the sky, some of which have been slightly discolored and would benefit from being readdressed. There are some thinnesses in the sky as well. The foreground is also quite thin and some of the darks have sunken in. Old discolored retouch at far left edge. There is some rubbing all along outer edges due to abrasion from the frame. Ultraviolet reveals scattered retouches throughout. Overall presents a charming image and while it could benefit from a new varnish and light cleaning, the painting is overall in a nice state and may be hung as is. In a carved and gilt wood frame.
