Condition
The paintings are less red than the illustrations suggest. Both supports consist of two vertical panels which are cradled to the reverse and are offered in gilt and plain wood frames with some paint losses. The paint surface is secure and under a glossy yellowed varnish. No damages are apparent and to the naked eye the paintings appear in good condition. Under UV light minor scattered non-obtrusive retouchings and strenghenings flouresce. Overall in fair condition.
