Condition

The catalogue illustration is representative of the painting. The panel, made up of two vertical planks, retains probably its original thickness and it is mounted in a possibly XIX Century Gothic-style frame. To the naked eye a damage appears on the Saint beard as well as lots of area of restoration especially on his pink robe. The green side of his mantle and his legs seem to have been completely repainted. The thick varnish layer impedes clear inspection under ultra-violet light.
