Thence by descent to the present owner.

The panel has a horizontal split running along the centre but is secured by a vertical batten on the left hand side. The paint surface is under a dirty varnish. The split is visible on the painted surface and has led to some small paint losses along this line. There are scattered restorations and retouchings throughout, and most of these are visible under UV light although the varnish prevents thorough inspection with the UV. Offered in a later gilt wood frame with several damages.
