Catalogue Note

Ranieri del Pace studied in Pisa and then in Florence under Pietro Dandini (1646-1712) and Anton Domenico Gabbiani 91652-1726). He was greatly influenced by the style of Giovanni Camillo Sagrestani (1660-1731), with whom he collaborated on several fresco cycles in Florence.

This appears to be a bozzetto for an unidentified altarpiece by Ranieri del Pace.
