Condition
"The following condition report has been provided by Henry Gentle, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's.
The oak panel is in good condition, flat with no repairs. The paint surface is generally stable with some instability to the mid left hand edge; a scattering of restorations across the rest of the surface can be detected. There are some recent scuffs to the paint. Overall, however, the painting is in a good well preserved condition with the paint texture intact. The removal of the varnish would improve the tonality.
Offered in a dark wood and burr wood frame with a gilt sight edge in good condition."
